Accountings that hold up

A fiduciary accounting is a sworn statement of everything that happened to someone else's money. It deserves software built for exactly that.

Why Summafolio exists

Trustees, executors and conservators are often asked to produce a court-quality accounting from a year or more of bank and brokerage statements. Professionals do it with spreadsheets and hours of tie-out work; family fiduciaries often do it alone. The rules are precise: principal and income kept apart, assets carried at the right value, every receipt and payment accounted for, and the whole thing balanced to the cent.

Summafolio does the mechanical work rigorously, and leaves the judgment to the people responsible for it. It reads statements, applies the accounting rules with citations, reconciles every account and formats the result to the structure each state uses.

How we work

  • Correctness over speed. An accounting that doesn't reconcile can't be signed off or exported as final.
  • Show the source. Every line traces to a statement, and every allocation to a rule.
  • Honest claims. We say "formatted to the structure" because that's what it is. We don't claim court approval, and we don't publish testimonials or statistics we can't stand behind.
  • Privacy by default. Encrypted at rest, deleted on schedule, never used for training.
